Terms of Use
Applies to the mobile app Vampires & Villagers Online (bundle
identifier com.vampireandvillagers.app).
Last updated: 16 August 2026 · Effective: 16 August 2026
By installing or using the app you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, do not use it. Contact for anything below: necipaky@icloud.com.
1. Licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute it, decompile or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows you to do regardless of this clause, or strip out its notices.
Everything in the app — the code, the artwork, the sounds, the text and the name — belongs to the developer and stays that way.
2. No account, and what that costs you
There is no sign-up: the app creates an anonymous account on first launch and keeps it on the device. That means there is no password to lose — and also no way to recover an account once its session is gone. Deleting the app, signing out, or using "Delete my data" ends that account permanently. Purchases are the exception: they belong to your Apple account and come back with Restore Purchases.
3. The VIP purchase
- It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is charged again, and there is nothing to cancel.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase. The price shown in the app is the price Apple charges, in your local currency, including any applicable tax.
- It unlocks the Hunter and the Jester characters and marks every room you host as VIP — so everyone at your table gets the extra characters, whether or not they bought anything.
- The whole game is playable without it. It buys extra characters and supports development; it does not remove advertising, because there is none.
- Refunds are handled by Apple (or Google on Android), not by us — we cannot issue or reverse a charge. Use reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, write to necipaky@icloud.com and we will help you make the case.
- Use Restore Purchases in the app after reinstalling or switching devices, using the same Apple account.
4. How you behave
The only thing you can write that other people see is your nickname. It appears to everyone in a room you join. It must not:
- contain obscenity, slurs, or anything hateful, harassing or threatening;
- attack anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, disability, sexual orientation or nationality;
- impersonate another person, the developer, or an official account;
- contain sexual content involving minors, or anything else illegal;
- advertise, link, spam, or carry someone else's personal information.
You also agree not to cheat the game engine, automate play, probe or overload the service, or try to read data belonging to rooms you are not in.
Report anything that breaks these rules to necipaky@icloud.com. Include the room code, the nickname and roughly when it happened. We can revoke access for accounts that break these rules, remove offending content, and refuse service — without notice where the breach is serious.
Off the screen, remember what the game is: an argument among people at a table. Play it with people who want to play it with you.
5. Availability
The game is provided as it is. It depends on an internet connection and on third-party services, and it may be unavailable, interrupted or changed at any time. Features may be added, changed or removed. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may discontinue it — if we do, we will say so on this site.
6. Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, or for lost profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, if you never bought VIP, is zero. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
7. Termination
You may stop at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 1, 6, 7 and 8 survive termination.
8. Disputes
If something goes wrong, write to necipaky@icloud.com first. Nearly everything can be sorted out that way, and it is faster than any alternative.
These terms do not pick a court or a country for you. The mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live applies to you in full, and you may bring a claim before the courts that are competent for you under that law. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable where you live, the rest stays in force.
9. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. This agreement is between you and the developer only. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
